Our History & Heart
The story of the Mutual Association for Savings & Kredit began in 1987, a pivotal year for Thomas Flat. When the last national institution shuttered its doors, leaving our farmers and families without a financial home, Charles Whitmore saw a need that couldn't wait.
Determined to protect the town's future, Charles's legacy took root when he teamed up with the Delaneys to form a mutual organisation. It wasn't about profits or corporate ladders; it was about ensuring that every dollar saved here was a dollar invested back into our own streets.
